Insider Tips: Gas, Trash, and Special Requests

When your going out of town and are going to be parking your car with someone, such as us, here are a few tips to keep in mind.

GAS UP
On your way to drop your vehicle off, make sure you have enough gas to get back home upon your return. Many people, especially those who return late at night, will forget that their vehicle was low on fuel after returning from a long travel day. We understand people want to get home as soon as they can, but it will be that much longer if you have to call someone because you ran out of gas.

Most parking companies will not take your vehicle to get refueled, but it never hurts to call ahead to see if this is a service they offer.

IF IT LOOKS LIKE TRASH, WE WILL TAKE IT AS TRASH
Have an empty pop bottle with a winning cap? To you it looks like a million bucks, to us it looks like trash. Do a quick run through before you drop it off and take out things that could be mistaken as trash that actually aren't. We do our best to clean your vehicle but are cannot tell if what we see as trash is something you want to keep. Most things are obvious, but it's those that teeter on the line that cause the most trouble. Help us help you and do a quick run through the day before.

CAN YOU PUT MY VISOR UP?
Special favors, which is what they are a favor, are things that valet attendants do not have to do. Sun visors, parking the vehicle a certain direction, unplugging your GPS so your battery does not die, are all things that valet employees are not required to do. So if you end up asking for a favor to be done, please be polite, make sure if you are asking for something in the car to be used (like a sun visor) have it somewhere easily accessible. We do not mind to do these things for you, but do not expect it or act like we are just to assume. If you come back and the visor is nicely folded, your GPS is plugged back in ready to go, don't forget that we took the time to do so. A little appreciation will make sure we remember you next time.

There are tips and tricks to get the most out of your experience when parking your vehicle for a trip. Politeness and appreciate really do go a long way with anything you may need or could want when using one of these services.
